This year, we're partnering with the Steve White Volkswagen Camp Out and Show. The VW event begins on Friday, September 11, with free food for campers, live music, and a bonfire. On Saturday, VW parts and memorabilia vendors will join Homesteading Festival and local food vendors. Saturday's activities will include live music by Bob and Amy Buckingham, door prizes every hour, and corn hole tournaments.
Jack Ellenburg, talented bluegrass musician and owner of Jack's Pickin' Parlor, will be organizing informal jams around the park. Musicians of all ages are encouraged to bring their instruments and join the groups. It doesn't matter if you're just starting out or have never played bluegrass music before; we're all there to relax and have a good time!
Don't forget that we will have a seed swap table. Even if you don't have any to share, feel free to take some home with you.
Throughout the day, we'll have chair caning, blacksmithing, and sheep milking demonstrations in the vendor area. The Blood Connection's Bloodmobile will be on hand to take donations during the festival.
